What's Happening at Evolution Sports?

  • Athlete Group Training

    Our Athlete Group Training is geared toward young athletes looking to improve their skill set.


    -Learn the fundamentals of weight lifting to

    improve movement quality and become stronger, faster, and more explosive

    -Sessions will focus on mastering basic movement patterns, improving landing mechanics, plyometrics, agility, and injury prevention.

    -Each athlete receives a custom program

    designed for their specific age, sport, history

  • MVA Strength Training

    Goals: 

    • Build confidence and leadership
    • Create a culture of hard work
    • Foster strong team relationships
    • Develop athleticism on which volleyball skills can build

    Program Details: This program includes one scheduled session per week. The total cost is $120 for a package of 4 sessions or $240 for a package of 8 sessions.  Single session/Drop-in visits are $35 each.  If you miss a scheduled training session, you may be able to drop-in to one of our LTAD classes held at a different time that week.  Sessions for MVA teams will be offered on Mondays (starting 2/2-3/23/26) and Tuesdays (starting 1/27 - 3/17/26).  Both sessions will run from 5-6pm.  


    Please note the different beginning dates.

    The comprehensive program will consist of dynamic warm ups, motor learning, plyometric training, overall strength development and core endurance, all of which will be based on volleyball-specific needs.  We will also include a vertical jump test as a measure of functional performance at the beginning and end of training sessions.  


    Spaces are limited to ensure safe and effective ratios of coaches: athletes.

  • ACL Tear Prevention Training

    The ACL Tear Prevention Training is a comprehensive regimen designed to fortify and safeguard your knee joints. Tailored exercises focus on strengthening key muscles, enhancing flexibility, and improving proprioception, reducing the risk of ACL injuries. Don't let a torn ACL hinder your performance; invest in proactive training to keep your knees resilient and your game strong.

  • Running Mechanics Clinic

    Evolution Sports is hosting an in-depth Running Clinic for athletes 12 yrs old and up. The clinic is designed to inform, instruct and follow through on ideal form to increase running efficiency and limit wasted effort during the running cycle. This clinic also delves into the needed precursors for increasing speed: strength, power and agility. The clinic is beneficial for distance runners, sprinters as well as field or court athletes in which running is involved.

    Athletes will see improved endurance from maximizing efficiency - over time this should

    improve pacing; efficiency from foot contact and increased cadence will carryover to better balance, speed, and reaction on the field/court.


    The clinic is set up in 8 sessions, 2x/wk for 4 wks:

    Week 1: Individual filming of running form, education regarding evidenced-based best

    practices for running mechanics, drill work for mechanics and instruction in home program.

    Foundational skills for long-term athletic development in the weight room will also be set.

    Week 2: Drills and exercises that foster speed, balance and strength for runners in all sport

    settings. Home program provided.

    Week 3: Education and practice in power-based activities to include Olympic lifting &

    plyometrics to improve explosiveness and first-step speed. Home program provided.

    Week 4: Final video analysis and foot work, exercises progressions for running mechanics.


    Lisa Kanning, PT, MPT, OCS, COMT will be hosting the sessions at Evolution Sports

    Physiotherapy in Cockeysville. She has been trained and certified by the Pose Method as a

    Running Technique Specialist. Sessions will be a mix of indoor/outdoor activities (weather

    permitting) so come prepared to move!

    Registration is limited to 12 participants so secure your spot early! We will keep a waitlist for any openings or a potential second session.
