Morgan Johnson is the President and Clinical Director of Evolution Sports Physiotherapy, Inc., a state of the art facility offering Physical Therapy and sports performance training. Before beginning his career as Physical Therapist, he performed HIV vaccine studies at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and orchestrated clinical research projects with Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Dept. of Spine Surgery. Morgan graduated with highest honors from MCP Hahnemann University with both Masters and Clinical Doctorate degrees in Physical Therapy. Upon graduation, he received MCP’s Benjamin Mannheimer’s award for academic and clinical excellence in orthopedics, pain management, and clinical teaching. He has operated as a licensed PT in the Baltimore area since 2001. Morgan enjoys all aspects of outpatient PT and strives to further his clinical proficiency in all areas. Morgan’s clinical specialties include hand therapy, foot/ankle rehab, spine, sports medicine/orthopedics, and vestibular rehab. In addition, he is skilled in the fabrication of custom orthotics and upper extremity splinting. He has also been active as a clinical educator at the undergraduate and doctoral levels for Kinesiology students from Towson University and PT and PTA programs from around the country. He taught Advanced Principles of Strength and Conditioning at the college level.


Morgan has prided himself on his commitment to academic and clinical excellence and strives to bring this developmental process to every one of the therapists at Evolution Sports. He has been recognized as a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) through Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars and dually certified in Spinal Manipulative Therapy (SMT) through the AAMT.He has fellowship training via the AAMT and is recognized as a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. Morgan has  been recognized as a board-certified specialist in Orthopedics (OCS) and a board-certified specialist in Sports Physical Therapy (SCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). He holds several certifications in Dry Needling through the Dry Needling Institute and American Dry Needling Institute. Concurrently, Morgan has functioned as a personal trainer since 1992 and is credentialed as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is a Certified Advanced Sports Performance Coach with USA Weightlifting, and a Certified Advanced Olympic Lifting Coach with Totten Training Systems.


Erin Johnson PT, DPT, COMT, USAW-1, AOLC

Erin Johnson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Towson University in 2006, and achieved her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2010. She has been practicing in an outpatient orthopedic setting since graduation with a focus on Manual Therapy and Sports Medicine, and she is a certified Manual Therapist through Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. She is a Certified Sports Performance Coach with USA Weightlifting, and also a Certified Advanced Olympic Lifting Coach with Totten Training Systems. In her free time Erin enjoys practicing martial arts – Brazilian jiu-jitsu, MMA, and Krav Maga – scuba diving, rock climbing, and snow boarding.

Lisa Kanning

Lisa Kanning, PT, MPT, OCS, COMT, Cert. DN, RTS, CSCS, USAW-1

Lisa Kanning joined Team Evolution during the summer of 2011 after working in a vestibular rehabilitation clinic where she specialized in the treatment of disorders related to imbalance and dizziness in Las Vegas, NV. Her work also included participation in normative data collection of balance and vestibular function in Division 1 football players with interest in post-concussion comparisons. In Las Vegas she had the opportunity to work with performance athletes in Cirque de Soleil and Blue Man Group. She also served as adjunct professor for Touro University in Nevada in the physical therapy department lecturing and assisting in laboratory sessions throughout the curriculum. Prior to her work in the vestibular world, Lisa’s primary clinical experience has been in orthopedic settings that offered several aspects of rehab including sports medicine, occupational medicine and post-operative management. Her passion for working with active individuals is based on her diverse athletic background which led her to Marquette University where she graduated with an undergraduate degree in English while a 3-year starter for the women’s basketball program and eventual MU Athletic Hall of Fame member.


Lisa played basketball professionally in Europe for one year prior to beginning her graduate work in physical therapy. She graduated from Marquette University’s Master of Physical Therapy program cum laude in 2003. In 2008 she became certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. She continued her work in speciality training by becoming a certified orthopaedic manual therapist (COMT) through Maitland in 2014, an APTA board-certified specialist in orthopedic therapy (OCS) and has achieved Level 1 and 2 certifications in trigger point dry needling through Kinetacore as well as Advanced Spinal Manipulation Institute (cert-DN).  In November of 2017, Lisa became a certified running technique specialist (RTS) through Pose Method.

Caroline May is the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Evolution Sports Physiotherapy, Inc. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Education with a specialization in Community Health Promotion from the University of Florida in 2019. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Caroline is also a Level 2 Certified Youth Fitness Specialist through the International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA). She was a member of the Division I Women’s Lacrosse team at the University of Florida as a defender. After her collegiate lacrosse career ended in 2019, she began coaching and has worked with individuals of all age ranges, backgrounds, and skill sets.

 

Caroline knows that each individual sets specific goals for themselves and she believes that by combining healthy lifestyle choices with physical activity, they can accomplish anything. By taking care of yourself and prioritizing your health, you can live pain-free and achieve your goals.

 

Along with striving to help people reach their health and fitness goals, Caroline has a passion for youth athletics, specializing in lacrosse performance training. She has taken her own experience as a high-level competitive lacrosse player and shifted her efforts towards giving back to the lacrosse community in order to develop the next generation of young athletes. Aside from training, she previously taught the subject of Health and PE at an elementary school located in Gainesville, Florida and is able to bring a unique twist to the way individuals define “health”.
